Bit.ly

Bitly is a URL shortening service and a link management platforms. This platform was established in 2008. Bit,ly shortens 600 million links per month, for use in social networking, SMS and email.

This platform is very easy to use for anyone. You just have to visit the website bitly.com and paste your original link, which is very long and hard to remember. After that you can click "shorten", so the link will be changed into the shorter link. Also, you can cutomize the link but you have to log in first to do it.
